James Rainbird was a member of the King's House School Choir. He recorded an album when he was 12 entitled 'James Rainbird sings music for a while'. Originally available only on cassette this album has recently been transfered to CD and is now widely available. His recording as Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors is the only stereo production currently available. James rainbird also sings the solo 'Suo Gan' in the Steven Spielberg film 'Empire of the Sun'.
