Artist
Founded in the hellscape of Tucson, yet hailing from locations unknown, James Dead incorporated a unique blend of East Coast attitude with sweltering desert licks. Their music, an equal balance of punk and rockabilly, oozes a level of refined cool amidst torrents of devilish sleaze. Tex Caliber's throaty lyrics are accented by the flowing riffs of George the Chomper, the savage style made downright danceable by Victoria Ice Queen's throbbing basslines and A.J.'s spasmodic crash and smash. James Dead's first album, "Revenge" was released in 1999 on Dry River Bed records. The band dissolved a year later in 2000.
