Hailing from the mean streets of Philadelphia Jakk Frost exploded on the hip hop scene as one of the most profiled artist to date. He is well known for his hit single “Philly Love” which spoke light onto the city’s history. He went on to record other hit singles like “Class is in Session” and also the chart topping single “Crash Da Party” with fellow rap artist Freeway. He also experienced phenomenal success with the mix tape. “U Don’t know Jack” hosted be DJ Kay Slay. Jakk was asked to recite a verse over the phone for a A&R who worked for Sony Records. Shortly after Donny Einner CEO of Sony records at the time to a contract. However after being signed for two years he asked to be let out of his contract early. “I just felt like they were not moving fast enough with my project.” Jakk recalls “I just felt that I could do much better on my own.” Now he is currently the founder and CEO of Cold World Music. “I just felt like it was time for me to be my own boss.” After missing from the game for a while he released the street certified mix tape “Jakk the ripper.” Now he has every fan reciting the now popular Jakk Frost phrases “Holla Jakk” and “The beard is in the building.” With his new found fame on the rise again. He has brought the biggest controversy to the game with his new mix tape hosted by Don Cannon entitled “It’s a Cold World volume one. Not only is it Philly’s hottest mix tape released on “07” but it signifies Jakk Frost as a strong artist who stands above the rest
