As a toddler, Jade came pre-packaged with aesthetic and technique, perhaps an echo of former lives long since past. As a spirited and spiritual child, the world could do nothing but observe her and silently wonder where her journey had started and where it would lead. Jade once rode heavy waves of conflict and pain adrift in a sea of directionless uncertainty. Brought up in a world of law abiding sheep, where good little girls are quiet and sweet, true creators and believers meet fierce opposition and the pressure to be “normal”. Here the battle begins. But like a phoenix she is born anew to rise above the turmoil. This ascent is the birthplace of her words and of her music, art, fashion. Straight from the source’s soul, abstract at first glance, and beautiful to behold, her works, her notes, her words are a rare intimate glance into her deepest self. Conveying one simple truth: The more you shine, the greater your battle. The song "Microphone Hands" was recorded late one night with the band Rithma (Om Records). It was 100% improvisational. With her sultry and irrefutably magnetic sound, Jade Alexis is a raw artist, singing from the depth of the soul.
