about

Jadal is an Arabic rock band formed by Mahmoud Radaideh (composer, guitarist, and music producer) in 2003 in Amman, Jordan. Jadal is considered one of the first Arabic rock bands in the region, starting their journey by grabbing listeners’ attention with their cover of “Al-Tobah” by the legendary Egyptian artist Abdel Halim Hafez, presented in Jadal ’s Arabic rock style. Jadal then released their first original single, “Salma,” a song written and composed by Radaideh for his niece. The song quickly became a radio hit and gained many followers, thus cementing Jadal as one of the premier Arabic rock bands in the country and soon after in the whole region. “Arabic Rocks” is Jadal ’s released in August 2009. It features 14 tracks, such as “Galbi Metlel Ward” (قلبي مثل الورد) and a cover of “Al-Tobah” (التوبة) by the Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez in Jadal’s Arabic rock style. Jadal’s second album, “Al Makina,” was released on December 29, 2012. The album contains 10 tracks that discuss social and personal issues relevant to youth in the Middle East. All songs were written and composed by Mahmoud Radaideh. The album marked another era of tremendous success and an unexpected spread far beyond the Levant’s borders. Since then, Jadal’s popularity has been on the rise, and they have toured several Arab countries, including Palestine, Egypt, and Morocco. This album included standout songs such as “Al Makina” (الماكينة) and “Ana Bakhaf Min El Commitment” (انا بخاف من الكوميتمنت).
