Jackrabbit is (1) a finnish band from Pori. The leader Ana Kaunisto has worked with many other bands too. Jackrabbit has released some album and tracks on Protpori compilation album. (2) Jackrabbit is also an unsigned, low-fi musician, currently working out of Denver, CO. (1) It was back in year 1991, under Northern lights, in Finland, a newborn rockband JACKRABBIT came to see the dawn of a new day. There was four young men, in their twenties, sharing the same vision and musical tastes, likes of AC /DC, Kiss, Lynyrd, Blackfoot, The Stones, Whitesnake and other 1970´s stuff,when the music was real. A few months later in June of 1992 JACKRABBIT played their first-ever gig in a dirty little bar called "The 8 Ball" in their hometown Pori, Finland. (2) Writing music since the age of 16, the second artist adopted the name Jackrabbit in 2004 (at age 20) to attach to the music while still remaining somewhat anonymous. The music often revolves around acoustic singer/songwriter material, however it also incorporates a variety of influences and sounds, including some basic electronics and touches of experimental noise.
