Jack Planck lives on a farm in Kent. He has two children and likes wading in water, making noises and recording them and hiding. He likes the idea of very minimalist techno but finds it in practice to be of limited interest. He records music as Jack Planck. He also records as many other guys for Illicit, Rodeo Meat, Pussyfoot and now One Little Indian. Derek Birkett, the big man at OLI, thinks Jack Planck is wonderful. So does David Bowie. "My name is Jack Planck. I am on a train. The train is in Kent on it’s way to London Victoria. I don’t like to use my phone on the bus or train. The person next to me is eating wine gums loudly and has one of those ear pieces like Madonna connected to their mobile, even when it’s not in use. The wine gums must sound annoying to the person on the other end of the line if they should indeed ever call. A few calls do come in and they mainly deal with what’s been done by the other person on Friday and where they are now. The usual really. Amazing to think all this technology to enable us to ramble and doodle and waste time. I have an album out/coming out. It’s called ‘To hell with you, I’ll make my own people’.
