Jack Hayter was part of Spongefinger who produced 2 albums between 96 and 99. Hayter was also a guitarist/multi instrumental bloke in Hefner with Darren Hayman, Ant and John Morrison, although he's not on the very first album. "Practical Wireless" is a solo effort produced by Darren Hayman with odd contributions from other Hefner members. He followed this in 2011 with "Sucky Tart" for the Audio Antihero label. He also crops up playing mostly pedal steel guitar on records by The Bittersprings,Dollboy, Silver Ginger 5, Tram.
