Artist
Jabin Law is a young folk rock singer-songwriter based in Hong Kong. Jabin has been writing songs since his high school life and has been gaining musical knowledge mainly from classic Rock, folk and blues. Heavily influenced by legendary musicians such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen, Jabin extends the possibility of lyrical impact and musical innovation. The theme of his songs comprises struggling of life, bittersweet of love, wondering of nature and so on. He often surprises his audience by showing his deep emotion through his own songs. Besides his passion on songwriting, Jabin’s singing and guitar playing are also key elements for his art. Jabin’s voice is often described as transparent, direct and truthful. Without concerning about singing technique and repertoire, Jabin’s genuine singing could tell more truth than he thought he could be. On the other hand, Jabin’s guitar is another indispensable part of his performance. Inspired by countless of blues and rock and roll guitarists, Jabin avoids flamboyant virtuosity and continuously works on the basis of guitar. Jabin aims to do more on a chord than most guitarists desire to do on the whole fret. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
