JD Meeboer (born October 10, 1995) is a Canadian singer/songwriter. He appeared on the reality talent show, The Next Star at the Toronto, Ontario, having been promoted to the top 16 round during the audition process on May 28, 2011. On July 7, 2011, he was officially declared a top 6 contestant, but it wasn't publicly aired until August 9, 2011 on YTV. After writing his single, "Sparks Are Gonna Fly", with his producer Nicole Hughes, he performed a sneak peek of it. He later recorded another single, entitled "Turn It Up Up Up", with the other top 6 members, recording the video before leaving the show.
