J. Marie, the self-proclaimed “Rare Melody,” unleashes an innovative and unique approach to music. Her style can be best described as a musical cornucopia. This singer, songwriter, and musician hailing from Van Nuys, California by way of Tulsa, Oklahoma has shared the stage with such musical legends as The Gap Band, SOS Band, Regina Belle, and Miki Howard. Growing up in a successful musical family, J. Marie realized she had a calling at a young age. She began writing songs and performing at the tender age of seven and went on to win numerous vocal competitions, star in the off Broadway musical "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and tour locally and internationally with the, Oklahoma-based band, 4-U. Hard work, determination, and sacrifice placed J. Marie in the company of numerous established artists such as Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, and the legendary Stevie Wonder. Being in the presence of such greats only fueled her desire to share her music with the world. After graduating from Howard University, J. Marie relocated to Atlanta where she gained recognition by some of the industry’s most notable producers and was afforded the opportunity to work with the Platinum Brothers (J. Holiday, Jennifer Lopez), and The Ambassadorz (Usher, Neyo). This driven artist has written for and vocally arranged many upcoming projects, however, her endeavors are limitless. J.
