The band was formed in late 2007 as a few high school friends sporadically playing music together in a garage. They got a little more serious over time and put out their first set of original songs, Moving the Van Out, in January 2009. They draw on all kinds of different influences which can be seen in their music, but they're always working to develop their own distinct sound. They named themselves after the place where a close group of their friends hung out during lunch in high school. Like the name implies, the band has always just been about friends getting together and making music for fun.
