about

JÉMIG is a Dutch band, formed in 2000 by Jelle Schilstra (vocals/guitar) and Andrew Huntink (bassist) and started as a coverband. After Paul Wesselkamp (drums) and John Jacobs (guitar/keyboards) completed the band, they searched after their own songs. The only thing missing was an extra singer, found in Meike Wesselink who is the singer from JÉMIG since 2007. The songs are characterised by surprising turns and melodic rockriffs. The English music is best described as progressive rock, with influences of pop-, blues-, symfonic rock and even funk. In the fall of 2009, the band brought out a live-demo with three own songs, called 'Hunger'. The songs were recorded during a gig in 'De Veldhoen' Langerak in september 2008. The demo gives a good impression of the live sound of JÉMIG. Because of the growth of JÉMIG the band made an CD, called 'Show of Lies'. Out of twenty own songs, eight were selected and released.
