Born in 1981 in Bialystok/ Poland In 2008, she graduates from the Faculty of Sculpture and Performing Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan/ Poland. She works with sculpture, installation, object and drawings as well performance actions. She uses in her work different materials such as: clay, plaster, concrete, gold, steel, glass, tar, animals fat, skin, fur and intestines, plasticine, plant fibers, plant dust, ash. The originality of her work derives from the specific matter in which she works.The whole Tarasewicz’s activity is based on the preparation, abstracted from reality elements weak, painful, marginal and having a simple physiological connotation, in order to show them as a transformed matter. Through personal experience and close observation of the world around her, she touches on the issues connected with the threats that modern human beings face. The artist is interested in extreme situations in which an individual balances between normality and extremity, between humanity and dehumanization. She analyzes states of social pathology and mental illness, as well as states of extreme pain and fatigue.
