Let’s be honest with ourselves… music just hasn’t been what it once was. Fashion replaced fun, and technology took over true talent. As a fan of music that draws from fun, hard work, and passion, how can one sit back and watch, what once meant so much to all of us, dwindle down into something that we would be embarrassed to say we even knew if we saw it in public? Well, something needed to change, and who better to do it than the fans themselves? Forming in the Spring of 2009, It’s a Firefight came together as a group of friends who weeded through the fake, the ugly, and the over-produced, deciding that they still have something to prove. Growing up as fans of Pop-Punk pioneers such as New Found Glory, The Starting Line, and Midtown, they incorporate a style that pays homage to their influences, while adopting a touch of new emotionally charged rock trends with catchy pop vocals, slap-in-the-face lyrics, and bright, up-tempo melodies. It’s a Firefight is the perfect bridge between their past and present. Featuring ex-members of Buffalo, New York-based bands Sleepaway (No Milk Records), The Airview, and Fairlaine, It’s A Firefight uses their musical experiences to write those “caught-in-your-head” choruses that will take you back to when music meant something, and the people on stage had a reason to be there. Trends come and go, but one thing is for sure, and that is It’s A Firefight. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional
