Artist
Ismael Oddó, born in 1975 in Paris, France, is a French-Chilean folk musician. He is best known as the son of Willy Oddó, a recognized member of the band Quilapayún who, along with many other politically-charged artists and musicians, was sent on exile during the regime of Augusto Pinochet. Having studied percussion in France, he later moved to Chile during the 90s to pursue further studies in music and stage arts. Then he returned to France to work as a stage musician in a theater company integrated by other Chilean artists residing in France. Ismael has been a steady member of Quilapayún since 2003 and has also released music under his own name.
