There are 2 bands with the name Ironsides: 1) A breezy instrumental soul band from California. 2) A post-hardcore band from Noblesville/Indianapolis, Indiana. Ironsides came together in 2008. Vocalist and front man Josh Cox began things on guitar with Dustin Savage, who would later leave the band, on vocals. Nic Powell was added on drums and Justin Mitchner on bass. Eventually, Robby Klingerman came to the band from his acoustic project, bringing much more than just an apt for the guitar. His solo project, Ironsides, gave its name to the band who would eventually add Zakk Foster to round out the current five-man lineup. The group has shared the stage with groups ranging from small local bands to big-label acts. Ironsides has played across the Midwest with the likes of Sleeping With Sirens, Of Mice & Men, We Came As Romans, Oh Sleeper, The Chariot, and plenty of local Indianapolis heroes. They were even voted on to Haste The Day's last 12 Days of Christmas tour following a vote of Indy-area music fans. Most recently, Ironsides was hand picked by Warped Tour creator Kevin Lyman to play the Cleveland stop in the summer of 2011. In May of 2009, Ironsides released their self-titled EP. Building off of their swelling success, the band recorded their first full-length album, The Shallows, releasing it on July 22, 2011. Immediately, Josh Lauristen of IndyConcerts.com praised their unique sound. "…If you can convey this much emotion and this much passion without compromising, t
