Iron Forest is Brandon Elkins masquerading as someone who likes dubstep. Inspired by such artists as Author and Punisher, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Autechre, and Venetian Snares, Iron Forest crafts nasty, broken, electronic music. Sort of a wrecked, doom-laden dubstep mutation. Iron Forest currently calls South Bend, IN home and strives to embody the atmosphere of decay that pervades much of his Midwestern surroundings.
