Artist
One foot in guitar-driven power pop and the other in the dark electronic underground, Iris Noir started as vocalist/guitarist David's bedroom studio project in 2006 (with early recordings stretching back even further). Iris Noir became a full-fledged unit in 2012 with the additions of Laura on guitar, Michael on drums, and Sarah on bass. In 2014, Houdah took over on bass when Sarah relocated. Sean was later recruited to the band to provide keys in late 2015. Released November 5, 2015, debut album Sight Unseen was produced and mixed by David (with occasional critical assistance from Sarah) in various locations around Austin, Texas, including the house he grew up in in the rural outskirts of Hutto, a couple apartments, the student studio at Sarah's college, and a Buick, before finishing up in New York City to sit in with mastering genius Fred Kevorkian (White Stripes, Peter Murphy, Dresden Dolls, Iggy Pop).
