Irah Nox (eye-ruh-nox) rises from the ashes of California’s deathcore pioneers, Torn Within. Rick Ash (ex-Torn Within and Suicide Silence) founded Irah Nox in 2024 with Logan Rainard, Ian Hayes, and Danny Duche. Their debut album, “Morticorigin”, releases in fall 2024. Heavily influenced by early hardcore, thrash, and death metal, the band's music explores themes of loneliness and despair that accompany the loss of time/ability to focus on one's self. With much of the band bonding through parenthood these themes became apparent early on in the songwriting process and has resulted in a cohesive sound unique as the individuals who constructed it. Upon release of their debut full-length record, the band intends to perform their music live on stages around the region and beyond.
