There are more than one band using the name IONS. (1) IONS s a progressive metal band from Czech Republic. facebook.com/ionsmusic (2) Birmingham based alternative rock band, IONS, self-released their debut album Laser Eye Surgery for God in February 2011, receiving favourable critic in local and national press and on radio. The band has supported a number of international acts including Sub Pop’s Damien Jurado and Japan’s Mouse on the Keys. Early 2013 saw the departure of two original members and a new line up. IONS have since embarked on a mission to self-record and produce their follow up album ‘Wake Up’ – an anarchic venture into the world of conspiracy theory and anti-establishment intellectualism.
