Invisible Elephant is the solo project of a UK artist. The debut album, The Lights Go Out, was released on the 10th of May, 2010 on Sonic Reverie Records and has been followed by Anomie of Swimming in a Black Sea and most recently sleepwalking for Two Hands Music. Using guitars, synthesizers, percussion, vocals and environmental sounds, Invisible Elephant blends elements of ambient, shoegaze, psychedelic rock, folk-rock and dream pop to create an immersive sound that moves easily from ethereal soundscapes to guitar-driven psych; with tracks on all albums referencing the literary works of Haruki Murakami. With a diverse array of subtle influences, including such artists as Elliot Smith and Sparklehorse Invisible Elephant offers something decidedly different to fans looking for something more.
