Since their inception in 1998, the Inthevisualz have been breaking cultural boundaries with the five very different and unique MCs that front the group. Their name, a play on the word “individuals,” also brings attention to their different ethnicity’s and backgrounds besides offering a clever twist on words. Backed by DJ Ironic, Azma, Z.G.S., Uforic, RezRnez, and Switch Griffens first started freestyling with one another before committing to the band. Spreading their wings in the San Diego area, the music was a West Coast twist on the socially conscious approach of the legendary New York Native Tongues crew.
