Innercity Ensemble is a Polish improvisational collective founded in 2011 that blends experimental rock, jazz, ethnic, noise-rock, post-industrial and electronic music. The group's seven members - Radek Dziubek, Rafał Iwański, Wojtek Jachna, Rafał Kołacki, Artur Maćkowiak, Tomek Popowski, and Kuba Ziołek - combine different personalities from different sonic backgrounds. (Other projects from these musicians include HATI, SING SING PENELOPE, ED WOOD, GROBBING THRISTLE, and STARA RZEKA.) Their music is full of discrete melodies and subtle rhythms - somewhere in between meditative ambient music and percussive trance.
