Inner Dam was formed on October 30, 1995. Myself and our then drummer Ernie talked about doing a band for quite awhile, so he said he knew a bassist (Shannon) and a guitarist (Kevin). So we got together and started playing as a four piece. Together we wrote five songs- four of which were put on our demo "Through the Eyes of Suffering". The lineup has changed quite a bit since it's original formation, with myself being the only original member. In January if 1996 Shannon left the band for personal reasons and shortly after her departure, we added a second guitarist, Mike. Soon after Mike joined the band, we got our bassist Jay to join up with us. We played out first show on April 27th 1996 with our friends: Hatebreed, Drowning Room, Atlas Shrugged, and End of One. The show was at a VFW in New Windsor, NY. We played consistently throughout the summer of 1996, in and out of state. Things were going good. We were writing new songs and playing a lot of shows. At this time we were playing as a five piece band- but- again- things were changing. The songs- musically were taking a different direction. Simply, the music was getting faster, less chugging and better structured. We felt out guitarist Kevin wasn't digging this direction we were taking, so we parted ways with him in Aug., of 1996. The most bizarre thing was, people didn't even notice he was gone. Again we played as a four piece and things were good- no- things were great. At this time we felt nothing was out of reach. We fe
