Born on an island outside Stockholm, Sweden, Ingrid started at the age of ten to produce music, when her father installed Cubase on the family computer. Later she went to study at the famous Rytmus Musikergymnasiet – a music-oriented high school comparable to the U.K.:s BRIT School, and walked the corridors together young musical talents; amongst Tove Lo, Icona Pop, Erik Hassle and Noonie Bao. After at detour through Stockholm University, a master degree in Law and a promising career as a legal counsel in Stockholm, Ingrid changed her mind drastically and started to write and produce music again under the name Ingrid Witt. The name has been borrowed, with permission, from Ingrid’s grandmother, who now has reached the age of 96 and who once dreamt of being a singer. During the past years Ingrid has put her heart and soul into making music. She has worked on various projects, such as a songwriter for her side project @PaisleyPink as well as a songwriter and producer for various pop acts. However, creating music for herself and developing her own expression is what is closest to her heart. She is currently working on new music and she is promising a lot more of electronic beats and melancholic melodies to be released in 2020.
