Artist
Their name comes from the fact that they were a "military band" (a popular type of band during the 1900s/1910s), and that they recorded for the Indestructible Record Company, who issued cylinder records made of celluloid plastic. These were less likely to break than the standard "wax" cylinder records of the era. It is worth noting that it was common at the time for record labels to have their own bands named after the label, such as Edison Concert Band, Columbia Orchestra, etc. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
