Inception of Genocide were a Japanese deathcore band formed in 2014 in Tokyo. The band was known for their intense sound, blending brutal metalcore with symphonic elements. The lineup included vocalist Isam (of MAKE MY DAY), guitarists Jiro and Han (from The Twisted Harbor Town), bassist U-ske (also from MAKE MY DAY), and drummer Shinya (formerly of Fear From The Hate and AstoLights). They were initially signed to garimpeiro records and later switched to We Love Records. The band's music quickly garnered attention through demo tracks posted on YouTube, leading to anticipation from fans before their official debut. Their first release, INCEPTION EP, came out on October 7, 2015, featuring six tracks. This EP showed the band's inspiration from bands like Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, and Whitechapel. On October 5, 2016, they released their full-length album do not despair, which featured 11 tracks. Their sound combined relentless aggression with melodic elements, characterized by symphonic touches and screams. The band continued to evolve with their next release, Bullseye, a six-track mini-album released on June 14, 2017. Despite their growing popularity, the band disbanded after the release of Bullseye, with the members continuing in their other musical projects. Isam remained active with MAKE MY DAY until 2024, and Shinya joined AstoLights. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
