"Imago" is a latin term and an archaic poetical form that means "image". "Imago" is also the last phase of development of the insects. This is the only stage in which they are sexually mature and have functional wings, so the imago is referred to the adult phase. "Meccano" is a famous commercial model construction kit including re-usable metal bars, plates, angle girders, stripes, wheels, gears, nuts and bolts.
