There are two bands named Illa. 1) Illa (also known as I L L A as of 2016) is a Latvian post-rock / post-metal four-piece band formed in 2013 in Liepāja, Latvia, reinventing itself from the members of hardcore punk band Well Set. The original lineup: Valdis Skarevičs - guitars; Mārcis Gegusts - guitars; Roberts Dinters - bass; Mārtiņš Kuzmins - drums. 2) Illa (stylized as ILLA) is a Russian atmospheric post-black metal project based in Novosibirsk and Moscow. The band stands out in the Russian extreme scene with its unique concept based on the philosophy, mythology, and cosmology of ancient India.
