Illørn, born Sascha Gawrilow, is an electronic enthusiast and sound creator from Leipzig, Germany. Born in Frankfurt / Oder in 1979, he became infected with the emerging electronic sounds of the early 90s. With the purchases of his first dance singles and long players, he was particularly inspired by acts from the genres Dancefloor or Eurodance that were emerging at the time. Among others, these included Dr. Alban, Snap !, Ace of Base, Cappella, Culture Beat, Reel 2 Reel, U96 or Haddaway. In the further course he found access and ultimately the love for the techno and electrical scene, which had an enormous heyday from the early to the mid 90s, through print magazines like Frontpage or Raveline, which were the defining names of the scene at that time. But also about TV formats like Housewrau on VIVA with the DJs Mate Galic and Sabine Christ or Chillout-Zone, Party Zone and Chillout Zone on the music channel MTV. In his tracks you can hear these influences from, for example, Joey Beltram, Westbam, The Orb, The Future Sound of London, Orbital or Sven Väth. Sascha was particularly enthusiastic about Studio K7's famous X-Mix series, which was curated by Paul van Dyk, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Dave Angel, DJ Hell, Dave Clarke and other well-known DJs. The interplay of the booming beats and the visualization attracted him more and more.
