Federico Monti Arduini (AKA Il Guardiano del Faro) was already well-known throughout Europe as a musician, composer, record producer and television personality. As a composer he wrote many Italian hit songs for various important (local and foreign) singers such as "Ma Ci Pensi" by Mina, " Il Primo Bacio che Darò" by Gigliola Cinquetti, "Dolce Amor" by Frankie Avalon, "Dolci Sogni" by Santo & Johnny, and "Solo Tu" by Orietta Berti. "Solo Tu" was also recorded in English by Cliff Richard (All My Love), and sold over 12 milion units worldwide. As an artist/musician/composer, in late 1972, under the nick- name of "Il Guardiano Del Faro" he reached the N° 1 position in the top ten chart with the song " Il Gabbiano Infelice". In late 1975, with his song " Amore Grande Amore Libero" he won one of the most important music contests in Italy (Un disco per l'estate), again reaching the n° 1 chart position. In that same year he was awarded the "Telegatto" award as the "Most Popular Artist of the Year". He also composed and scored several movie soundtracks such as " La Orca" directed by Eriprando Visconti. As a producer he recorded many international artists (Frankie Avalon, Santo & Johnny) and had many records in the Italian top ten charts.
