Ignacio de Jerusalem y Stella (Ignazio Gerusalemme) ( Lecce , Italy , circa 1707 - Mexico City , 1769 ), was one of the most important composers of the New Spain. He started his musical activity in his native Italy as a violinist. Coliseum was musician Cadiz and the New Spain became Kapellmeister of the Cathedral of Mexico . He was known among his contemporaries as the "musical miracle" because his talent and musical abilities matched the same choirmaster at Madrid.
