Ignácio Parreira Neves (Brazil, Ouro Preto, MG, c. 1730 - Brazil, Ouro Preto, MG, c. 1794) was a composer, singer and conductor, he worked mainly for the Senate and for the brotherhoods of São José dos Homens Pardos and Nossa Senhora das Mercês. A considerable part of its musical production is lost. Of what remains, Credo, Litany and Oratory to the Child God for Christmas Eve (1789) stand out, considered the only Christmas carol in Portuguese.
