Idan Yaniv (born October 18, 1986 in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli singer. Idan was born to a family from Bochara. He got in to singing and music when he was 11 years old and not as most singers claim as a small child. Till he graduated from highschool Idan was more focused on his studies and did really well in it. As a result he graduated from the high school with good grades. When he was 17 and use to sing as a hobby and performed as an amateur singer, a musician he knew introduced to him a manager from a known music agency. After listening to Idan his music and vocal skills the manager decided to sign him up. He started working and gathering material for his first album with many famous musicians. His debut album was released only recently and the title is named after his biggest hit so far: Thinking Of Her. On this album many of the top Israeli musicians have played the instruments for various songs. The song Thinking Of Her has already become a major hit and captured the number 1 spot at many radio stations and playlists,. Itโs the hottest summer hit so far and even the most requested and downloaded ringtone of the summer 2006. The song Thinking Of Her was written and composed by another new artist called Lior Detauker. Lior Detauker even sang with Idan Yaniv the song as a duet, but when the song started getting attention Idan Yaniv got most of the spotlights because he was the lead vocalist in the song.
