Artist
Ian D'Sa, born October 30, 1975 in the United Kingdom, is the guitarist for the Canadian punk rock band Billy Talent. Of Indian (Goa) descent, he grew up in Ontario, playing guitar at a young age. He started a band called "Dragon Flower", but met Benjamin Kowalewicz, Jonathan Gallant and Aaron Solowoniuk at a talent show. He started a new band with them when their previous band, "To Each His Own" broke up, and formed "Pezz" (later to become "Billy Talent"). While in Billy Talent, D'Sa went to Sheridan College where he got his degree in classical animation and even worked on Angela Anaconda as an animator. He also co-produced Billy Talent II with Gavin Brown. He now focuses on touring and recording in Billy Talent. When playing live shows, he plays a black Fender Stratocaster with a red pickguard. When recording in the studio, he uses a '52 Fender Telecaster Reissue and a '58 Gibson Junior. Also he owns a three colour sunburst stratocaster with a white pick guard, which is shown in the "Devil in a Midnight Mass" music video.
