Artist
This largely anonymous producer has been working for many years under different guises and has now recorded his observations from a lifetime of Hip Hop, with a heartfelt yet twisted appreciation for the many chapters of the genre he loves. This album embraces all the best and worst cliché’s of rap in an exaggerated form - challenging what you perceive as Hip Hop. Ian Beef has chosen label mate and long time friend Majesta (All Creatures, DJ Format’s ‘Music for the Mature B-Boy’ on Antidote Recordings, plus Parlour Talks ‘Padlocked Tonic’ LP on Acid Jazz Records) to convey Beef’s own lyrical whims on his behalf. Sometimes under the influence of more than just tough instrumentals – as the intro track ‘12 years Stewing’ explains. Majesta and Beef’s mutual and long time appreciation of Hip Hop’s broad spectrum made the MC a worthy choice. Joining Majesta on selected tracks: Spye of the ‘Pipettes’ seven inch release on Hairy parents and the fore mentioned albums. Scoutleader Deed - Bristol Rap Legend plus Parlour Talk producer and MC. Plus the rest of the new Meat Family members making this extremely nutritional listening. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
