Iam Electric (pronounced ‘Eiam,’ or /ˈiː.əm/ ) is a young DJ/Producer from America’s Midwest who blends fat, gritty bass into a whir of synthesizers and and eclectic dance rhythms. In-your-face, pulse-pounding tunes for your ear-holes. The concept of Iam Electric started unintentionally as an experiment but but exists now to perpetuate and help establish the more progressive forms of electro, house, and hip-hop in America. This attempt is made by drawing on eccentric and lesser-known European or disco influences. Iam is 23 years young and released the first electro EP “ZAP!” as a free download from his web site on August 3, 2010. This is not his first release though, Iam has been obsessed with music and has been producing tracks from a very young age.
