Incruentus formed in September 2007 at Bristol’s Access To music college, with influences such as Chimaira, Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Cannibal Corpse and Slayer, they began to jam and write material. After a few jams they decided it was time to start looking for a vocalist. The position was taken by Sam Wheeler. With this line up they started to gig in and around Bristol, but with a change in direction in early 2008, the band decided that it was time to find a vocalist more suited to the style. They approached a few local metal vocalists but after a single audition the decision was made to ask Adam Leonard (former SILO) to fill the spot. With a new vocalist, fresh new songs and a new found energy Incruentus started gigging and making a name for themselves in the Bristol metal scene. At the end of January '09, two weeks before the recording of they're debut EP, The Debt of Nature, bassist Joss Farrington decided to quit the band due to musical differences and personal issues. Ben Matthews was asked to temporarily fill the space until recording was complete and formal auditions could be held, but the band were impressed with Ben's enthusiasm and the speed he was able to pick up the songs and after the first day of recording, asked him to join the band as a full-time bass player. Incruentus will be back in the studio sometime in march to finish the recording of EP, The Debt of Nature.
