IAM JORGE? Alter ego of engineer, musician and producer Craig Fowkes. With over ten years experience in the recording industry Craig decided to unleash IAM JORGE. As part of the new breed of exciting independent artist’s who are producing music on there own terms for geniune music lovers. His debut album Nightmares & Dreams was two years in the making and was recorded and mixed in private at home! The finshed cut has been described by IAM JORGE as “ Music for the minds eye” The musical ethos behind the album was to make melodic music useing anything, and I mean anything. IAM JORGE comments that “ No item is out of bounds for muscial use and that includes the kitchen sink. If it can be hit smacked slapped or twanged and I can mic it then it’s fair game.” IAM JORGE also plays several conventional instruments these include the guitar (Electric,acoustic,classical,slide and bass) piano, organ and syntherses. As well as a vast aray of percussion instruments of which the xlylophone and glockspiele are among his favorites. Craig’s muscial life started at the tender age 4 when he began to be trained as a classical percussionst. From there he moved on to piano eventually finshing up on the guitar which is now his prefered weapon of choice. All the time he was playing in various local bands.
