I, Your Liege began simply as an idea between two friends. Unhindered by any particular genre or conventional scene standard, the two friends created music that they could call their own. Not long after the groups inception, one of the friends had run into a bassist, who said he was playing with a couple of guys, and they were looking to join a band. The two friends, a drummer and guitarist, were now joined by a singer, bassist, and guitarist. So with a complete line-up, I, Your Liege was born, and thus their story began. Passion for music was the first connect amongst the newly formed group and they plunged into creating their sound. Drawing inspiration from many different genres and blending all the sounds they heard, a unique music developed. As the writing continued, the five members began to spend more time with each other, and a strong family bond formed with in the group. It didn’t take long before the group wrote enough material to step out of the practice room and into the spotlight in their native NYC. Playing throughout the five boroughs, and lower Westchester county, I, Your Liege started to make a name for itself. In a short period of time, they shared the stage with countless national acts, such as: Liegea, Vanna, Dying Fetus, Abigail Williams, Motionless in White, ect.
