Matthew Sandstedt - vocals, bass, programming Michael Sandstedt - programming Mat Johnson - guitar Scott Johnson - guitar I, Colossus is the music of Matthew Sandstedt. Matthew has studied music from a young age and is well versed in violin, guitar, bass, and keyboard and uses his experience to great effect when composing his music. Drawing on influences ranging from oldies such as the Beach Boys and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, to more contemporary acts, such as Radiohead and the Rapture, I, Colossus creates a unique, yet familiar blend of sonority. Matthew's role in I, Colossus does not end with writing and playing his music either. Matthew Sandstedt, and his brother and fellow band mate, Michael Sandstedt, own and operate their own recording studio in which they recorded their debut album due for release on Afternoon Records in late November. This unrivaled creative control offers a snapshot into Matthew's creative world that is rare in the music industry today. Matthew Sandstedt is no stranger to the Minneapolis music scene. Matthew formerly fronted the Afternoon Records band, Aneuretical. Having played and toured with his former bands since the age of 14, Matthew has garnered a great deal of experience and musicianship and continues to build on these as he continues to work passionately in I, Colossus.
