I Am War is a metalcore duo featuring Atreyu frontman Alex Varkatzas singing and Bleeding Through vocalist Brandan Schieppati on guitar and vocals. It’s an outlet for the duo to mine the darkest depths of their psyche and play the most pure and uncompromising extreme music of their careers. The tunes are tightly-coiled blasts of cathartic rage with mosh pit-punishing breakdowns that feel like sensory assaults. In under two minutes the duo combine the blast beats of classic hardcore, the street-level precision of thrash, the atonalities of modern metalcore, and the psychotics of punk rock. Alex and Brandan are currently demoing new music right now for their debut album due Spring 2012.
