Jonathan Larsson and Carl-Oscar Andersson became friends at just six years of age, and after a variety of different projects, they founded I Am Nova in 2012. Shortly after, they debuted with the album This Is I Am Nova, and made themselves known as an energetic live act, where the duo brought in four other musicians to perform on stage. With influences from british/american pop/rock, inspired by everything in between The Beatles and Imagine Dragons, I Am Nova’s melodious and effective poprock has successfully charmed the Scandinavian listeners and is frequently played on Swedish radio. Today, the 24-year olds also run a recording studio together - in which they have written, produced and mixed all their music by themselves. ”We have tried to work in other studios, but we have realized that it is in our own studio we really find and develop our own sound.
