Hypnagothique debuted in 2003 as a two-hour live show on the Radio Tonka ( in The Hague). Tonka was one of the oldest pirate stations in the Netherlands, until its demise due to frequent police raids. De Blauwe Aanslag was the building where all the shows took place. The building has been demolished in favor of an new apartment block. The second incarnation happened in September 2010 after an friendly invitation from the Elektrana Radio crew from Novi Sad. As of September 2011, the station is off the air. By kind gesture from P. Emerson Williams, the show continued its life on Alterati podcast station, featuring hand-picked episodes by Mr. Williams himself.
