There are at least two bands called Hunter Gatherer 1. The Rock 'n' Roll Beards as they where sometimes known hailed from Athens Georgia releasing an album on the now defunct Scene Police Label and Engineer Records (then called Ignition) as well as split release with English post-hardcore/emo band Rydell. 2. St. Louis, Missouri 2008-2010 hunter gatherer, or sometimes hntrgthrr (pronounced |ˈhən(t)ər ˈgaðərer|) were a mostly instrumental post-rock band from St. Louis whose music is characterized by ambient movements, often involving elements of noise.
