Alison is a dancer who spirals in from a hazy sky. She creates genre bending music with distinct vocal textures, driven by piano and guitar. Live performances feature many guest artists on cello, drums, etc. who create luscious soundscapes and reveal a large emotional range. The music is meshed with visual imagery and dance to pull you farther into waking dreams. In Winter of 2008, HUFF THIS! recorded the self titled debut at Graham Nash's home studio with singer, drummer, and guitarist Molly Bearcub Allis as the primary collaborator. In addition to her her music making, Alison tours internationally as a contemporary ballet dancer and recently made her debut at The Metropolitan Opera. She grew up in Nevada City, Ca where she was inspired by many local musician and bands such as Pocket For Corduroy, Joanna Newsom, Marie Siouxx, Black Bear, CHODE, Alela Dianne, Hella, Aaron Ross, Jeffrey Thorsby, Legs On Earth.
