Howling Rabbits play their own brand of stompy psychedelic rock. Often descending to darker territory than the vintage sounds they draw upon. Distinctive Fuzz and reverb fuels psychedelic breakdowns, driving songs which range from playful surf rock to spaghetti-western inspired epics. At the end of an industrious 2010 in which Howling Rabbits released their debut album [Beware the Hunter], had their song Vertigo reach number 4 on Brisbane's 4ZZZFM's top 100 for 2010 and received rave reviews for their live shows, the band found themselves without a permanent keyboard player. This drove them to the setup studio in guitarist, Cameron Nicholls' basement to begin the demo recording process, for what they hope to be hints of their second full length album. Having resurfaced from a long cold winter of cabin-fevered studio work with a handful of new demos and a score of new songs Howling Rabbits are once again sporting themselves as a complete five-piece with a formidable live show.(Leith Jacobs-Drums, Steve Graham-bass, Cameron Nicholls-Guitar, Shaun Paton-keys, Steven Appleton - vox, guitar & keys) Beware the Hunter - Edge Radio 99.3fm Recommended Release March 2010 "Opening act “Howling Rabbits” proved to be a feast for ears and eyes.
