Hot Scandinavian Dirt consists of three music geeks from the forests of the midwestern Sweden. Hot Scandinavian Dirt produces music, which is as serious as it is humorous, as technical as it is emotional, as playful as it is earnest and as simple as it is advanced. Their creations have no boundaries when it comes to rules, genres or rights and wrongs. The band was formed in the spring of 2006 when the three band members studied music at Palmcrantzskolan in Östersund together. They all share a great interest in progressive music in all its forms. Emerging from a shared educational background and deep investment in complexity, they've created something that resists easy categorization while remaining oddly accessible. The willingness to be simultaneously playful and serious, simple and intricate, reveals musicians thinking through sound rather than merely decorating
