about

Robert (vocals/guitar) and Andrew (ex bassist) have a long history of playing music together that began in 1994 in Tampa, Florida. In Tampa, they played and toured up and down the east coast with their metal bands until about 1998. Fast forward to about 2013 after living in several separate states throughout the years, Robert and Andrew both by coincidence ended up living in Southern California and decided to follow their passions by playing and creating music again. This time, Home is West create heartfelt indie/alt rock songs. Shortly after, Robert nervously approached his neighbor Corey (who is known for being an excellent drummer and drum teacher) and asked to join Home is West. After a few practices, shows, and recordings, Home is West plays shows all across the Southern Cali area and is currently receiving airplay on Internet Radio and a local FM station. Andrew eventually moved back to the East Coast and that is where the new bassist, Jim, picked up the pieces. An EP was released in April 2016. A was released in June 2017. The rest is history.
